Sen. Oluremi Tinubu First Lady Federal Republic of Nigeria attended a Roundtable lunch organized by OAFLAD and the Rockefeller Foundation on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
While delivering she her speech, she called on development partners to support Nigeria’s efforts to roll out climate-friendly school meal programs, which have the potential to boost school enrollment and promote nutrition among students.
As First Lady, She committed to ensuring every child has access to nutritious meals. President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a state of emergency on food security, and Senator Oluremi has launched initiatives like Young Farmers Club Nigeria and Every Home A Garden Competition to prioritize affordable, nutritious meals for children and society.
