Mustapha, at the 10th Annual Symposium of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Nigeria Chapter in Abuja on 6 May, 2025 while the Director-General, of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) is Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi was fully engaged with other assignments.
He’s keynote address on “Advancing Sustainability through AI-Driven Chemistry,” he emphasized AI’s transformative role in accelerating discoveries, promoting greener processes, and fostering sustainable innovations in energy, healthcare, and agriculture.
Dr. Mustapha urged stakeholders to view AI as a collaborative partner, not a replacement, and called for investments in local data, infrastructure, and cross-sector partnerships to tackle complex challenges. “Chemistry is not just science—it’s strategy,” he noted, reaffirming ECN’s commitment to aligning research with Nigeria’s sustainable development goals, in support of the Ministry’s AI Strategy led by Honourable Minister Chief Uche Nnaji.
